Owen’s decision to work as a trader was influenced by his father, who has been trading agricultural commodities for over 20 years.
Owen finds his job interesting because of the variety of tasks he performs. He faces different challenges every day, from placing orders to pricing cotton, and from coordinating logistics to communicating with ginners and farmers.
After graduating in Business Administration from Simon Fraser University, Canada, Owen was recruited as a trainee in LDC’s Graduate Trainee Program. He says that the program broadened his horizons as it gave him an all-round experience of trading major agriculture commodities. But it did more than that:
